Johnny Ray has opened for the likes of James Cotton (1992), Robin Trower (1994) and was the host band for Buddy Guy 1994 concert. For four years he was the host band for The Good Times Monday blues Jam. For two years he was the host for Springfield After Hours and for one year at The Candlelight Inn. He has performed at several venues that include The Back Alley Bar & Grill seatle, The Firehouse,seatle The Capitol Coffee House,portland Lestates,sandiego Tuba Man's and The North Park Deli and Coffee House. In addition, he has played The Saturday Market,eugene The Eugene Blues Festival,3 years. The Eagle Park Slim Benefit, The University Avenue Street Fair and The LCC Community College Black History Month honering the historical blues masters.
